i’ve been on a seafood kick and i’m here for it(and so is my cat 😸)! this is my first time making shrimp myself, from frozen. i was/am a little nervous bc i’m just not good at cooking meat in general but i think it came out pretty good! i topped some greens with the shrimp and @traderjoes green goddess dressing and paired it with a quick chickpea salad ✨ this came out to 7sp/bp, mostly from the little bit of EVOO.

Being healthy and living a healthy lifestyle doesn’t mean salads, bland foods and exercising your soul away 💀

Living a healthy lifestyle means balance between hard work, giving your body what it actually needs and sure, maybe a 🍕 or 🍔 or 🍷 now and then. It’s understanding that your body lives in balance and everything you do can interrupt that balance. That’s why you can feel bloated, dehydrated, and weighed down after enjoying some guilt free options here and there. It’s just a slight imbalance that will regulate itself once you go back to your routine.

The same goes for working out. Some of my absolute best improvements in my physique, recovery and decreased pain were related to times I took a break from working out. OVERTRAINING IS NOT SOMETHING THAT LOOKS ONE CERTAIN WAY. It can look like suddenly being bloated or looking “watery” more often, poor sleep, feeling run down and yes even suddenly binge eating. Why? Because your body is smarter than you but you two don’t speak the same language and if you’re not watching for signs you won’t get the hint until it’s too late.

Zero point breakfast - banana and egg pancakes with a side of fruit. These things are so simple and so good. 
I was going to make buffalo cauliflower bites for lunch, but just air fried cauliflower and dipped them in a combo of light ranch and buffalo sauce. Still delicious. Of course i added a @imbuilt bar in there. 
My dinner pasta was so good the other night that I had to have it again. I heated some frozen fruit and threw some Greek yogurt on it for desert. I'm stuffed.

One week! Alright!~s

So far, I feel great! My stomach didn't feel good the first couple of days because my body wasn't used to taking large amount of supplements, and especially the JumpStart I drank every morning. But now, my stomach has no problem, in fact, it's in better condition. 
I have so much energy. I exercise a lot and eat a lot. I eat and exercise like I used to in my 20s.

I got 83 days left with this program and I'm excited to see how my body is going to change.

Today was shoulder day.

Buonasera a tutti (o meglio buonanotte)
Stasera sono tornata a cena con il ragazzo che mi ha fatto riscoprire il piacere di condividere un momento di vita sociale tra le persone, invece di rinchiudermi in me stessa avendo paura di toccare il cibo fuori. Peró stavolta ho scelto io il posto. Consigliato da una mia amica questo ristorante ad Arezzo “Dirty Rat” è stata una riscoperta, ci torneró sicuramente. Ci hanno portato un entreè (non so come si scrive ahah) con pappa al pomodoro che era abbastanza piccante ma molto buona, poi io ho preso la loro specialità, ovvero le Bowl che adoro e cercheró di replicare, con ceci alla paprika, senape miele, salsa di soia, piselli, riso nero, salmone e cavolo viola. Buonissima. Inoltre ho assaggiato la tartare al tartufo (anche quella davvero ottima ) e le patate dolci da lui, che ha preso anche i tacos. Che dire non ho pensato neanche un secondo ai miei problemi, ovvero io e lui abbiamo affrontato l’argomento della mia malattia, ma mi sta facendo vivere tutto come una battaglia che posso tranquillamente sconfiggere e mi fa sentire normale. È stata una bella serata. Dove non ho pensato altro che a divertirmi e soprattutto sono stata davvero bene. Dopo che siamo stati a fare un giro in macchina per Cortona, che era piuttosto vicina ad arezzo, siamo andati in un pub nel posto in cui vivo e ci siamo bevuti delle coca e abbiamo parlato e giocato a carte. Posso andare a letto felice!

You open up your window and.....you see 👀 people are rushing to hide under the closest bus stop’s roof, umbrellas ☂, rain coats 🧥.... sleepy dogs 🐶 are pulling their owners to get back in a nice, warm home and enjoy wrapping themselves in a dry blanket....
This is NOT what you are very excited to see in the morning... 🤔 After seeing this you start getting a little strange and same time very sweet feeling of getting lazy 🥴. You have not made your bed 🛌 yet and it is calling you to stay there a little longer.... Lovely feeling 😍! But you have to get out, move towards bathroom, make a quick breakfast 🍳 and move to work.....
Long story short - rain 🌧 or snow ❄️, hot 🥵 or cold 🥶 I love to get out and get moving! I love ❤️ walks, long walks, short walks, fast walks, relaxing walks 😃. Great reason to get out in any weather - get a dog 🐕! That will definitely keep you moving 😍

Traditionally performed with a kettlebell, althought a dumbell, full water bottle, can of soup, or nothing but your body weight will all be beneficial. This functional exercise is a total body workout with a focus on core strength, engaging every muscle group and joint stability throughout the entire movement. It improves flexibility, co ordination and balance, and can be performed anywhere! Very few movements can boast as many health and fitness benefits as the Turkish Get-Up 
TIP: 
1. Focus on slow moving, purposeful and good quality movement over speed of load
2. Keep your eyes focused on the DB, or the working hand
3. Don't drop the DB on your face!!

DB Turkish Get-Ups

Traditionally performed with a kettlebell, althought a dumbell, full water bottle, can of soup, or nothing but your body weight will all be beneficial. This functional exercise is a total body workout with a focus on core strength, engaging every muscle group and joint stability throughout the entire movement. It improves flexibility, co ordination and balance, and can be performed anywhere! Very few movements can boast as many health and fitness benefits as the Turkish Get-Up

El día que ví con mis propios ojos la crueldad que hay detrás de la producción animal, todo en mi vida cambió. Ya no podía ver el mundo como antes. Ahora tenía que escoger: seguir con mis costumbres e ignorar el sufrimiento de seres inocentes, o cambiar mi forma de alimentación para siempre. .

Para mi era muy claro lo que tenía que hacer. Al día siguiente me volví vegetariana, y en esa época mi familia no me apoyaba. Aprendí a cocinar, leí de nutrición y empecé a hacer activismo en mi círculo social y familiar. Un año después, toda mi familia había dejado de comer carne y estábamos en el proceso de dejar los lácteos y ser veganos. .

Ya llevo 3 años sin comer carne y 2 años siendo vegana. Siento que fue el mejor cambio que pude hacer. No solo  estoy más sana, también me siento tranquila con las acciones que tomo en mi vida cotidiana. Es importante que tu estilo de vida sea congruente con tus pensamientos para poder ser realmente feliz. No podemos amar a los animales, mientras le paguemos a alguien para que los explote cruelmente solo con el fin de satisfacer nuestras exigencias gastronómicas innecesarias. .

One thing I’ve learned in the last 2 years of trail and error is.... I tend to get comfortable when I reach a new level of “Healthier”... if that makes any fucking sense. So instead of getting comfortable right now I’ve decided to hire a coach. Like to get me ready for a show but the show is my future. Tag your favorite coach!!
