In my continue trek to eat healthy, I had the  Impossible Burger, (which I have to admit is awesome) with fresh onions in a gluten free breading deep fried in a plant based oil. Plant based lettuce, tomatoes and garlic mayo. I couldn't get an unbleached flour roll  but instead got the traditional brunette on spring break in Daytona bleached roll. Since onions are good for you I opted  for the endless onion rings.

🍊You know what makes eating to lose weight even tougher?  When the fridge and pantry are bare of your low calorie foods! .
🥕Friend, this is just my list.  Your list can be totally different, but you got to keep good options available.  Does that mean a midweek grocery run? It absolutely could!

If I run out of my favorite treats, I am much more likely to break into my sons Oreos and Pop Tarts!🍪🙄 This might have happened a few times🤷🏻‍♀️.

A sexy answer to the question of dieting comes in the form of flexible dieting. The idea you can eat cookies, cakes, and pizza while losing weight. While this idea is theoretically true but it is grossly overexaggerated.

One of the key components to the over-exaggeration of flexible dieting is the twinkie diet conducted by Professor Mark Haud at Kansas State University. The professor lost 27 pounds from eating a diet purely consistent with junk food to prove the point of using quantity as a superior method of weight loss. While I cannot argue against calorie countings effectiveness for weight loss short term I can point out the flaws in this logic.

Sure you can lose pounds eating a certain amount of McDonald's every day but what nutritional value are you going to get from that. There are certain vitamins and minerals our bodies cannot live without and if there is a deficiency in these we can have serious health complications.

Eating purely processed foods can lead to diet-related illnesses including heart disease, diabetes, and high blood pressure. So please do not use flexible dieting as an excuse to not take care of your body correctly. You should be eating mostly whole nutritious foods. Do not listen to your favorite fitness influencer telling you they eat pizza and fries all day every day and still look good, those foods are only a small portion of what they really eat.
