OMG! Recieved my first book today!📚📚 Vandaag, 3 dagen eerder dan verwacht, was mijn boek klaar! Ik was blij dus moest even poseren met de cover en met de stapel dozen. 🤣 Lang kon ik er niet van genieten want ik moest door naar mijn werk, zoals ook de komende dagen. Het verpakkingsmateriaal is nog niet allemaal binnen en dat in combinatie met mijn werk zorgt ervoor dat ze wel pas vrijdag verstuurd worden. Zaterdag valt hij dus op je mat! 😁 Voor die tijd hoop ik een video te kunnen maken waarin in het boek uitgebreid laat zien. Tot aankomende zaterdag betaal je nog het gereduceerde tarief, dus zorg dat je nu nog besteld. 💕
Ik ben in ieder geval mega blij en ik hoop jullie straks ook.

Repeating boulders today. Here's a nice one. I'm learning how I need to decide how much force I want from each hold. Here for example the last moves to the top are more like campusing with a slight heel hook. If the heel hook is any stronger then I slip off the edge. 🤔🤗

Soyghurt with oats, shredded coconut, raspberries & inca-berries (dried physalis). I think that I’ve maybe started to enjoy photography a bit again. I have barely taken any pictures this whole year which is quite sad but I’m trying to tell myself to don’t force the creative process.

Or maybe that’s just a comfortable lie to hide behind instead of just picking up my camera and going for it. I feel like I’m too caught up in the details instead of just trying to find a decent flow and putting out content, babysteps right... 👣

So tonight my lower back was still being naughty so I didn’t do any weights no over worked the handstands. I worked on mobility and trying to help my back feel better. Saw this movement (they had a loaded barbell) and thought I’d give it a try, I did it as a continuous free flowing thing and and it felt nicer the more I did it- sure my back wasn’t curving as much by the end 🙈😜I feel like I am getting a greater connection with my body and finding just as much satisfaction in working in mobility as I do the big stuff. Laura overcame extreme adversity and emotional anguish as a teenager when she was forced to eat meat against her will at a treatment center for eating disorders.

In fact, for much of her life, she’s been told to eat animal products by doctors and fellow athletes, which caused her to constantly feel sick and depressed.

But over the past decade, she has learned to eat in a way that serves both her body and heart.

After overcoming anorexia, bulimia, and debilitating injuries, she’s become an accomplished vegan Olympic weightlifting coach and athlete.

Was bissl ekelhaft jetzt ist sind die Stechmücken, vor allem wenn man nach dem Lauf kurz stehen bleibt, hat man sofort den ein oder anderen Stich 🙈

The Global Burden of Disease Study, the most comprehensive and systematic analysis of the causes of death ever undertaken, involved nearly 500 researchers from more than 300 institutions in 50 countries and examined nearly 100,000 data sources. The study noted which foods, if added to the diet, might save lives. The verdict? Eating more nuts and seeds could potentially save 2.5 million lives.

This is because eating nuts may help reduce risk factors for many chronic diseases, including heart disease and type 2 diabetes and they are a great source for many vitamins and minerals.

All nut ares good for you but walnuts have the highest antioxidant and omega-3 levels, and beat out other nuts in vitro in terms of suppressing cancer cell growth.

Nuts may be high in calories, but consuming nuts has not been found to lead to the expected weight gain. The high fat and protein helps to keep you full longer which can lower the overall amount of calories you consume. Plus, they may also extend your lifeline: Your life span may be increased by two years by eating nuts regularly—one handful (30 grams or about 1/4 cup) five or more days a week. Just that one simple and delicious act alone may extend your life.

The Global Burden of Disease Study, the most comprehensive and systematic analysis of the causes of death ever undertaken, involved nearly 500 researchers from more than 300 institutions in 50 countries and examined nearly 100,000 data sources. The study noted which foods, if added to the diet, might save lives. The verdict? Eating more nuts and seeds could potentially save 2.5 million lives.

This is because eating nuts may help reduce risk factors for many chronic diseases, including heart disease and type 2 diabetes and they are a great source for many vitamins and minerals.

All nut ares good for you but walnuts have the highest antioxidant and omega-3 levels, and beat out other nuts in vitro in terms of suppressing cancer cell growth.

Nuts may be high in calories, but consuming nuts has not been found to lead to the expected weight gain. The high fat and protein helps to keep you full longer which can lower the overall amount of calories you consume. Plus, they may also extend your lifeline: Your life span may be increased by two years by eating nuts regularly—one handful (30 grams or about 1/4 cup) five or more days a week. Just that one simple and delicious act alone may extend your life.

Dinner time. I'd call this a salad but someone would call bs on that... Spiralized courgette and carrot, sliced mushrooms, baked potato and cauliflower, chillied spinach and soy chunks (the chilli pot exploded so the soy yoghurt is there for neutralization purposes) with an avocado-parsley dressing. 🥑 Was pretty damn good.

Two days of complete rest and the legs are starting to feel pretty fresh again and the ankle feels pretty good. Went for a 20min test run after work and it actually feels really good. I'm so glad! So lets ease back into the running things 😍

Laura overcame extreme adversity and emotional anguish as a teenager when she was forced to eat meat against her will at a treatment center for eating disorders.

HARKING BACK TO RECENT RUNNING TIMES!

It’s only been ten days since my puss covered appendix was yanked out from my pelvic wall (enjoy your dinner) but I am bored AF already. It’s weird going from being very active and running with your dog to it being a struggle to walk around the block with him. Not to mention my bloated post op stomach currently looks like Michael Gove.

I’m not great at asking people to do stuff for me as I like being an independent vegan scarecrow BUT I have been overwhelmed about how lovely & helpful people have been and all the messages from everyone! Thanks for that!

I am hoping the recovery keeps going well and I can get out for a gentle jog next week but until then it’s placid perambulating, turmeric snorting and general Posi Cozzy vibes.

The summer run plan was to smash the 5k & 10k times but to be honest, I’ll just be happy to be back running slowly and building up to a bunch of races in the Autumn! There’s always someone worse off and I’ve only had appendix out - did I mention all the puss?

That’s all I have to say and that’s quite a lot but spaffing head-sperm on the internet is cathartic and I feel better already 🌱 🏃‍♂️

Back to the gym!  Just an easy session today to get my creaky ol’ bones moving.  I actually have to compete at the Belgian clubs final this weekend 😂. So training as usual has not recommenced.  I am very much looking forward to getting back to building, though.  I feel like I’ve just scratched the surface of what I’m capable of and it’s time to dig deeper.  Nothing can stop me and I won’t ever stop 👊🏻. .

It takes #consistency #persistence #dedication and #determination.  Yesterday I pushed myself hard during my 90 minute weight session.  3 hours total with cardio and glutes. Not too shabby. I love working out. I love lifting and cardio. 💪🏼💪🏼🏋🏻‍♀️🏋🏻‍♀️

This week they embark on the first of three adventures  for this fundraiser.  First they will ride, self supported, 500-700 miles on the #IdahoHotSpringsMountaintBikeRoute. Then, two weeks later Jolly will race 540 miles on one of the toughest mountain bike endurance races (the #ColoradoTrailRace). Finally, straight from there, they will be joined by another #veganathlete to hike the #HighSierraRoute for three weeks.  They will be pushing their bodies to the limit to help wildlife. Existen 2 tipos principales de cáncer de piel: Los melanomas y los no melanomas (cáncer de células basales y escamosas)
. 
Los cánceres de células basales y escamosas, tienen una probabilidad mucho menor de propagarse a otras partes del cuerpo y de representar una amenaza a la vida en comparación con los melanomas.
.
Los cánceres de células basales y de células escamosas son los tipos de cáncer de piel más comunes. Ambos cánceres se detectan principalmente en las partes del cuerpo expuestas al sol, tales como la cabeza y el cuello. Por tanto podemos decir que la exposición al sol está relacionada directamente con este tipo de cáncer de piel.
.
Aunque hay que hacer una diferencia entre exposición y sobreexposicion que es esto último lo que si está estrechamente relacionado con la aparición de este tipo de cáncer de piel.
.
Una sobre exposición de forma intermitente al sol, y que produzca quemaduras es lo que está relacionado con este cáncer.
.
En cambio una exposición controlada, ajustado a cada tipo de piel, horario, zona geográfica, época del año... No está relacionada con este cáncer.

I still feel as if I am in competition with other women. 
I still feel like I NEED to compete with other women, like it’s almost expected of me.
I still have many moments, many days where I compare myself to other women, seemingly nonstop. Comparing myself to their appearance, physique, success, LIVES. And it *obviously* should NOT be this way. I don’t want to feel this sense of jealousy and comparison. I want (and need) to accept who I am, to realize that I am BEAUTIFUL 🤗 and to not be so hard on myself just because I’m not where I want to be in my life yet 🤭

Why do I feel almost jealous of other girls? 🤷🏼‍♀️ I think one of the reasons is feeling like I need to be the prettiest, the most successful, the funniest to be loved and accepted by a man. That none of them would choose me because there will always be a girl out there who’s more _____ than I am. But I’m trying to remind myself that there WILL be someone who loves me wholeheartedly and will see all the good things about me. Other women are not my competition. I need more female friends. I need a support system of more females. All women are beautiful, why do I need to compare??🤭🤷🏼‍♀️

Pulled a new conventional deadlift PR today. I tried to deadlift in a belt for the first time and pulled 275lbs! I am so happy to do something like this in only my 4th month with @kansascitybarbell (and after I failed to pull 245 yesterday). I cannot wait to see what the future holds!

Just like we have always been ❤️ .
Reaching this summit with Frank happy and healthy was a truly beautiful moment for me. He had the greatest day being back in the mountains giving me kisses every time he could reach my face and  would give me little love nibbled on my hand in passing. To feel how happy he was only amplified all the feelings of joy I had myself and I was overwhelmed with gratitude to have Frank by my side doing what we love most. We’ve climbed many mountains together and while this wasn’t the highest, fastest, most challenging or even the best view it was the most meaningful. We have a second chance at life together and this mountain was only the beginning ❤️#squawesomefrank

Happy Wednesday! I am in a fruity mood today! The local farmers market had so much on offer, I couldn't resist! ⠀

Have you tried lychees? They are the white ones that look like eyeballs but they are sweet, juicy and fragrant! I have served them up with lots of random fresh fruit, dried chewy goldenberries @naturesheartsuperfoods (they look like plump orange sultanas but taste so much better; tangy and not too sweet!), some no refined sugar granola (I love my oats!) and coconut yoghurt mixed in additional pea protein @pulsinhq. ⠀

Miso Ramen by @alexafuelednaturally 🌱 A warm and exciting bowl of plant-based flavours!

Recipe
Serves 2
6 cups filtered water 
1 1/2 tbsp vegan bouillon paste (I used vegetarian Beef)
3 green onions 
3 inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled and sliced 
1 can slices bamboo shoots (8 ounce can)
3 garlic cloves 
2 1/2 tbsp miso paste 
1/2 cup spinach, roughly chopped 
Small bunch cilantro, for garnish 
1/2 cup frozen corn 
1 avocado, sliced 
4 ounces Cremini mushrooms, sliced 
2 ramen noodle packets (each 3.5 ounces... toss out the seasoning packets and only use noodles) 
Crispy tofu:
1/2 container firm tofu (7 ounces), cubed 
1 1/2 tbsp corn starch 
1/2 tsp salt 
Avocado oil or coconut oil .

How incredible does this simple Tomato Pasta with veggie skewers by @beferox look? 🌱 Itchin' to try it  yourself? Check out how she made it below!

Tomato pasta sauce: made with olive oil, minced garlic, tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, pasta water, oregano, thyme, rosemary, parlsey, salt and pepper) with vegetable skewers on the side 🍝🌿 For the skewers, I marinated 250g cherry tomatoes and 1 halved and sliced zucchini with some olive oil, a pinch of dried thyme, a pinch of dried rosemary, some garlic powder, salt and pepper. Then, I added just a tiny bit of oil to a non stick pan (medium heat) and fried the skewers for about 3-4 minutes on each side.

Add 1 tbsp tomato paste and mix before adding 1-15oz can black beans and 1/2 cup vegetable broth. Use side of wooden spoon or spatula to mash about half of the beans while cooking. Simmer about 10 minutes until most broth is absorbed. Add fresh lime juice and salt to taste. 
Corn: Roast 3 ears fresh sweet corn with husks on at 350F on oven rack until soft to touch, about 35 minutes. Meanwhile, combine zest 1/2 lime, 1 tsp chili powder, 3 tbsp vegan butter. (Optional: Use sharp knife to slice down side of corn and remove kernels. Add butter mixture to kernels according to taste while corn still warm.) Rub corn with butter mixture after roasting. Finish with squeeze of fresh lime juice and salt to taste.

Recipe: : Cook 1 small chopped onion in a little vegetable broth (or olive oil) until translucent, about 7 minutes. Add 2 minced garlic cloves, 1/2 tsp oregano, 3/4 tsp cumin, 1/4 tsp chili powder and cook another 30 seconds. Add 1 tbsp tomato paste and mix before adding 1-15oz can black beans and 1/2 cup vegetable broth. Use side of wooden spoon or spatula to mash about half of the beans while cooking. Simmer about 10 minutes until most broth is absorbed. Add fresh lime juice and salt to taste.
Corn: Roast 3 ears fresh sweet corn with husks on at 350F on oven rack until soft to touch, about 35 minutes. Meanwhile, combine zest 1/2 lime, 1 tsp chili powder, 3 tbsp vegan butter. (Optional: Use sharp knife to slice down side of corn and remove kernels. Add butter mixture to kernels according to taste while corn still warm.) Rub corn with butter mixture after roasting. Finish with squeeze of fresh lime juice and salt to taste.
